Hurricane Nicole property damage claims

Hurricane Nicole swept over the East Coast of Florida on November 10, 2022. Nicole’s arrival in Florida was just over a month after Hurricane Ian passed as a Category 4, meaning this state had already seen its fair share of hurricanes. Nicole was massive in size and hit as a category 1 hurricane before moving further north as a tropical storm.

Nicole destroyed homes, brought down trees, and caused over 250,000 people to lose power in Florida.

Estimates suggest Hurricane Nicole caused over $70 million in damage.

Nicole’s arrival brought it over Florida barely a month after Hurricane Ian, and even though Nicole’s path was different than Ian’s, some homes were still impacted by both storms. Homes affected by both hurricanes need to be able to identify the damage each storm caused when filing a property damage claim, which can be tricky to do alone.

Evidence is the best supporting material you can submit with your claim – especially images and videos of your property before and after
Nicole hit.

If you have images and videos before and after Hurricane Ian hit, that’s a bonus. This will make it easier for the insurance company to discern between claims if you need to file one for Ian and another for Nicole.
